Jr. High Camp
I had such a blast with the 7th and 8th graders at Allaso Ranch. (Allaso means "change" in Hebrew.) I was in a cabin of 12 girls who mostly are going into the 8th grade. My co-leader Karry is an amazing lady who volunteers with these girls all year. It was so neat to watch them learn about God and His amazing love for us. 45 students accepted Christ as their savior and 35 did the week before. It was awesome!

Beach with the Girls
We had so much fun!!! I was surprised at how good the beach was. It was my first visit to a Texas beach except for the rocky Galveston beach. I was pleasantly surprised! But, like Tiffany said from the beginning, the company made it most fun. Thank you, Granny, for putting it all together!

Spring Break in Abilene
What a wonderful week it has been! First with the Harkey side (except for Ryan and his sweet family) and then I got to see my family. I have been reminded that that is the main ingredient for Easter. I have spent many Easters away from family and definitely felt the pains of home sickness. I am so blessed to be back in Texas, with a wonderful man who loves family as much as I do. Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayers. I know that my ache I feel for family is that God-given desire to be close to Him. I know that because of His death and resurrection I am able to know true love that only my Creator could feel for me. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me this much. I pray that in some way I can show people the love you have for them. Happy Easter!
I drove down to Abilene while sweet Paul stayed home to make the bacon. It was a sweet time with Mom and Dad, Kristi and the boys. I cannot believe how quickly they are growing up... the boys, I mean. :) We had lots of lounging time, played outside and even made it to the zoo. Derek was my main animal photographer~ thank you, Derek! Dexter had to continue conditioning for track because he has a track meet next week. No rest for the young at heart~ I'm glad I'm past that precious time in my life!!!

Spring Break 2008
Yeehaw!!! We made it to Spring Break '08! Paul and I went down to Danielle and Stephen's ranch in south Texas. It was so beautiful~ such a big Texas sky, lots of cows and 5 baby calfs. We loved the clear night to see all the spring constellations. Stephen and Paul built a campfire for us to sit around and make s'mores and listen to old country music favorites. We had such a great time with them. I got to sit on a horse for the second time... Paul later got to clip the toe nails off a huge horse and drive the tractor taking hay to the cattle... all in a day's work!
We then went back to San Antonio and spent time with more of the Harkey fam. I love that God has so richly blessed us with family we can call friends. I know that does not always happen. What a blessing. Those Salinas kids are so amazingly cute. Oh my Gosh! Aidon and Uncle Paul had a ball! That little Mia is beautiful. wow! I love her.
I'm off to the Kuykendall house tomorrow to see my other nephews. Pictures will be coming!

80's Night
4th of July
We had such a wonderful weekend in San Antonio! First was Mia's first birthday. She is such a beauty. No longer is she a baby, but she is now a little girl. Yes, she quacks quite a lot, but there is no doubt that a sweet little girl is just below the surface! :)
We had a great time sitting around the pool at Nana's and Granddaddy's house. It even rained while we were there. What a blessing.
We also got to go to John and Dee's beautiful house in the country. Oh my gosh~ the view, the house, the guest house, the pool, the kitchen... Our total dream house. I know... good things come to those who wait, but for how long??? JK!
Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful weekend with family and friends. You have blessed us beyond measure!

Jr. High Camp at Allaso Ranch
Oh my gosh~ what a blast! My girls (7th and 8th graders) and co-leader Karry were so much fun. We had fun riding horses, riding the zipline, doing the Leap of Faith off a telephone pole, mountain biking, water slides into the awesome pool! Not to mention the amazing music and speakers. Pastor Ed even showed up for a guest appearance with his dad! It was awesome! God has answered so many prayers with this new camp that is almost finished. About 80 kids were saved in two weeks~ WOW!
