What a wonderful week it has been! First with the Harkey side (except for Ryan and his sweet family) and then I got to see my family. I have been reminded that that is the main ingredient for Easter. I have spent many Easters away from family and definitely felt the pains of home sickness. I am so blessed to be back in Texas, with a wonderful man who loves family as much as I do. Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayers. I know that my ache I feel for family is that God-given desire to be close to Him. I know that because of His death and resurrection I am able to know true love that only my Creator could feel for me. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me this much. I pray that in some way I can show people the love you have for them. Happy Easter!
I drove down to Abilene while sweet Paul stayed home to make the bacon. It was a sweet time with Mom and Dad, Kristi and the boys. I cannot believe how quickly they are growing up... the boys, I mean. :) We had lots of lounging time, played outside and even made it to the zoo. Derek was my main animal photographer~ thank you, Derek! Dexter had to continue conditioning for track because he has a track meet next week. No rest for the young at heart~ I'm glad I'm past that precious time in my life!!!

80's Night
4th of July
We had such a wonderful weekend in San Antonio! First was Mia's first birthday. She is such a beauty. No longer is she a baby, but she is now a little girl. Yes, she quacks quite a lot, but there is no doubt that a sweet little girl is just below the surface! :)
We had a great time sitting around the pool at Nana's and Granddaddy's house. It even rained while we were there. What a blessing.
We also got to go to John and Dee's beautiful house in the country. Oh my gosh~ the view, the house, the guest house, the pool, the kitchen... Our total dream house. I know... good things come to those who wait, but for how long??? JK!
Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful weekend with family and friends. You have blessed us beyond measure!

Oh my gosh~ what a blast! My girls (7th and 8th graders) and co-leader Karry were so much fun. We had fun riding horses, riding the zipline, doing the Leap of Faith off a telephone pole, mountain biking, water slides into the awesome pool! Not to mention the amazing music and speakers. Pastor Ed even showed up for a guest appearance with his dad! It was awesome! God has answered so many prayers with this new camp that is almost finished. About 80 kids were saved in two weeks~ WOW! I am so thankful I got to be a part of it!

How wonderful! Now we can keep up with the Harkeys of Dallas ;)
Love you guys. Rhett sends a kiss!
I knew ya'll would have to cave eventually and get a blog ;-)
This will be so great though because it's tough being far away and this way you'll be a little part of our day still.
I am thrilled that you have joined the bloggers! Now I have contact with all my kids. I enjoyed seeing how Dexter, Dwight, and Derrick hav egrown into such handsome young men. It was wonderful seeing you two this week and we missed you on Easter.
I love you,
Mom
Isn't peer pressure great! It was great getting to see you and Paul last weekend. We have so much fun hanging out! Tell Paul Aidon misses his buddy.
When are we going to see some new pictures.
