First trip to Colorado

I cannot believe how quickly these 3 months have passed. Since you entered this big, old world, you have traveled through TX, OK, KS, CO and a corner of NM. We spent a week in Steamboat Springs, CO. The drive was very long, but you did amazingly well! In the Rocky Mountain National Park we saw 15 ft. tall snow drifts, elk, marmotts, chipmunks, and even a family of big horned sheep crossing the road. This was the first of many trips you will travel. Daddy and I are already plotting when you will see where Daddy grew up and learn about the Civil War. I can't wait to take you to as many of the National Parks as we can ~ what awesome memories they make.

In your spare time, you played with Gran and Grandad, Nana and Grandaddy, Uncle Chad and Aunt Kristi, and cousins Dexter (16), Derek (11), and Dwight (4.5). I do worry that you do not get enough love. :) The funniest was when Dwight was asked by his mamma if he liked you, he thought for a minute and then said, "Not much." He told me he was hoping you would crawl into his lap. Too bad you are not even rolling over yet!

80's Night

4th of July

We had such a wonderful weekend in San Antonio! First was Mia's first birthday. She is such a beauty. No longer is she a baby, but she is now a little girl. Yes, she quacks quite a lot, but there is no doubt that a sweet little girl is just below the surface! :)
We had a great time sitting around the pool at Nana's and Granddaddy's house. It even rained while we were there. What a blessing.
We also got to go to John and Dee's beautiful house in the country. Oh my gosh~ the view, the house, the guest house, the pool, the kitchen... Our total dream house. I know... good things come to those who wait, but for how long??? JK!
Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful weekend with family and friends. You have blessed us beyond measure!

Jr. High Camp at Allaso Ranch

Oh my gosh~ what a blast! My girls (7th and 8th graders) and co-leader Karry were so much fun. We had fun riding horses, riding the zipline, doing the Leap of Faith off a telephone pole, mountain biking, water slides into the awesome pool! Not to mention the amazing music and speakers. Pastor Ed even showed up for a guest appearance with his dad! It was awesome! God has answered so many prayers with this new camp that is almost finished. About 80 kids were saved in two weeks~ WOW! I am so thankful I got to be a part of it!

Second Anniversary~ June 10, 2008

Paul took me to the beautiful Worthington hotel in downtown Ft. Worth. We had a wonderful time eating at the famous Reata, browsing through the Barnes and Noble, and then loving the night view of the city from our balcony. What a sweet boy he is! He is a gift to me!

What a wonderful time we had at Mustang Island. I loved playing cards with Jessica, Becca and Granny. I loved sleeping next to Mia and being awakended by her gorgeous smile. I loved sitting and chatting with the girls as we soaked in the sun. What a blessed time we had. And, a nice ending to the school year!
